Visibility.so connects with third-party services to power SEO data, authentication, and AI visibility tracking. SEO integrations (Analytics, Search Console, DataForSEO) are configured per-project on Project → Configuration → Integrations.

Google (Analytics + Search Console)

A single Google connection powers both Google Analytics 4 (organic traffic, landing pages) and Google Search Console (queries, content opportunities). One consent screen grants both — you don’t have to connect twice.

Connecting

1

Open project Integrations

From your project, go to Configuration → Integrations and find the Google card.
2

Start OAuth flow

Click Connect. You’ll be redirected to Google and asked to grant read access to Analytics and Search Console at the same time.
3

Select GA4 property

Back on the Integrations page, pick the GA4 property that matches your project’s domain.
4

Select GSC site

Pick the verified Search Console site that matches your project’s domain. The two pickers are independent — your GA property and your GSC site can have different display names but should describe the same website.
If you connected Google before Search Console support was added, the GSC card shows a one-click Re-connect that re-grants the new scope without breaking your existing Analytics access.

What you get from Analytics

  • Traffic reports — sessions, users, bounce rate, average session duration
  • Landing page performance — top organic landing pages
  • Daily time-series — for visualising trends
GA data appears on the project’s Overview tab under Organic Traffic. The card refreshes on your configured cadence (default once a week, on Mondays); you can also tune the schedule from the Integrations card.

What you get from Search Console

  • Content opportunities (the Content Gap sub-tab on the project’s Opportunities page) — real search queries scored and ranked by win likelihood. See the SEO Features → Content Opportunities section for details.
The single Google account powers all three. Disconnecting from the Google card revokes Analytics + Search Console for this project. Other projects using the same Google account are unaffected.

Google SSO

Sign in to Visibility.so with your Google account for a seamless authentication experience.

How It Works

  • New users — Click Sign in with Google on the login page. An account is automatically created and linked to your Google identity.
  • Existing users — If you signed up with email/password, link your Google account under Settings > Account > Connected Accounts. Once linked, you can sign in with either method.
Google SSO uses OAuth 2.0. Visibility.so only requests basic profile information (name and email). No data from your Google account is accessed beyond authentication.

DataForSEO

DataForSEO powers keyword ranking tracking, domain metrics, and SERP data within Visibility.so.

Keyword rankingsTrack your position for target keywords across search engines
Domain metricsDomain authority, referring domains, and backlink counts
SERP dataSearch engine results page snapshots and competitor analysis

Platform-Managed vs BYOK

DataForSEO can operate in two modes:

Platform-Managed

API calls are routed through the Visibility.so platform using our default service configuration. No setup required — it works out of the box.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

Enter your own DataForSEO API credentials under Settings > Integrations > DataForSEO. API calls go directly through your key instead of the platform’s default managed service. Ideal for high-volume usage.

Connecting BYOK

1

Get your DataForSEO credentials

Sign up at dataforseo.com and locate your API login and password in their dashboard.
2

Enter credentials

Go to Settings > Integrations > DataForSEO and enter your API login and password.
3

Test connection

Click Test to verify the credentials work. Once confirmed, click Save.
4

Done

All DataForSEO calls will now use your key.

AI Providers

Visibility.so tracks how AI models mention, recommend, and rank your brand. The platform queries the following AI providers as part of AI Visibility tracking:
ProviderWhat We Track
ChatGPT (OpenAI)Brand mentions and recommendations in ChatGPT responses
Claude (Anthropic)Brand mentions and recommendations in Claude responses
Gemini (Google)Brand mentions and recommendations in Gemini responses
PerplexityBrand citations and source references in Perplexity answers

How It Works

AI Visibility checks are automated. The platform periodically queries each AI provider with industry-relevant prompts related to your domain and keywords, then analyzes the responses for brand mentions, sentiment, and recommendation strength. Results are displayed on the AI Visibility dashboard within each project, with breakdowns by provider and trend data over time.
AI Visibility scans are metered. Detailed consumption and billing will be introduced with our future pricing model.
